Wedding Shoot with BHLDN

Hello friends!

I wanted to share some BTS of something really pretty I got to work on a few weeks ago. I’m sure you guys are a huge fan of BHLDN like I am! Well, thanks to my girl Catie Starr (also a fantastic and amazingly talented makeup artist) I got the call that BHLDN needed a lead hair artist for their Asheville shoot! So of course I said YES, PLEASE! I love their dresses, style, all of it! When I found out I needed a hair assistant I called up Lindsay Pizzuti to help me – she’s who cuts + colors my hair, and is also a really really good girlfriend of mine!

So a few weeks later, we made the trek up the mountain to our first shooting location Flourish Farms, a gorgeous floral vendor in Asheville. After setting up, everyone arrived and to work we went. There were probably 10 different looks for day one so it was a long and hot one, but we ended with the most beautiful sunset! My favorite look for day one was the braided updo that I literally had to knock out in 15 minutes.

Day two. Our second day we set up in a new hotel in downtown Asheville called the Cambria. This is also where we stayed the night before so made it easy for unloading the glam station. The locations for the looks were all over downtown, and first on the list was in front of a lovely church. For hair, my sweet model, Tori, rocked a tight bun. This bun had to hold the majority of the day so we made sure to tuck away all those little fly-always and pin every strand to secured perfection. I personally love this look for brides, classic yet modern and stays put!

Half-way through the day we took the bun out and gave Tori a softer look, some loose waves for a bar + rooftop shoot. We somehow got permission to shoot on the Grove Arcade rooftop, so that was awesome, and had the nicest security escort take us safely to that location. Lol. We loved him.

After a full day, we had one more look to iron out and it was a quick low pony with romantic pieces framing Tori’s face. Catie nailed her make-up look with some killer highlighter. These photos actually turned out to be my fave!!!!

I had such a blast working with a new group of people. The BHLDN crew is wonderful and oh so talented! I hope you enjoyed going through the magic we made! Xx, Sabrina
